Giga Metals is designing Turnagain as a low-carbon nickel mine through use of hydroelectric power, an electrified mining fleet with electric shovels and drills, and carbon mineralization research to permanently sequester CO2 in waste rock and tailings, targeting one of the lowest emissions intensities among global nickel development projects.
